Dartington Primary School Farm Club 17 September (4 weeks)
Our wonderful Farm Club will be opening its door in our new sheltered woodland spot on Tuesday 17th September for four weeks.
Our Farm Club leader Vic, is fully Forest School trained and designs her sessions based on the seasons and a child-led pedagogy that focuses around nature, food, the farm and the seasons.
Children will be collected from Dartington Primary School and walk up to the farm looking at wild foraging opportunities along the way. (If your children do not attend Dartington Primary please still look at booking - we can meet you at the farm or at the school)
The Farm Clubbers might harvest main crop onions, kales, tomatoes, sweetcorn and fruit and learn about plant cycles.
They will go on farm walks and learn about food and its seasonality as well as how to look after the chickens and learn about wildlife in the woodlands and on the farm.
We will usually cook or prepare fresh fruit and vegetables for snacks every week using the produce from the farm.
Packing extra snacks, water bottles, appropriate clothing and sun cream is required.
£12 per child including collection from school and £10 per sibling
